This training will provide a deep dive into the critical role of sensory evaluation in product development, quality control, and consumer preference analysis. Participants will gain hands-on experience with key techniques used to assess snack products, ensuring they meet market demands and maintain high quality standards. The workshop will explore how the five senses influence food perception and how sensory analysis is applied in product development, branding, and quality control. Attendees will learn essential evaluation techniques, including descriptive analysis, discrimination testing, and affective testing, and discover methods for assessing product formulation, consistency, and sensory attributes such as appearance, aroma, texture, flavor, and auditory aspects. The training will also examine the impact of sensory characteristics on consumer preferences and market success, providing practical guidance on structuring sensory panels, optimizing testing environments, and preparing samples for evaluation. Through real-world case studies, interactive exercises, and emerging industry insights, this workshop will equip participants with the expertise to enhance snack products through sensory analysis and stay ahead of industry trends shaping the future of food innovation.
